The exclusive basstrombone event in the World is held every two years. It started in 2006 as a fun idea between some basstrombone friends.

11-13th September 2020 will be the 8th edition.

The DBTO is organised by Marcel Schot and Bert Damsma two long time friends both working in the music industry and basstrombonist of course. Marcel is the brasshop owner of one of the premier brass shops in the Netherlands and Bert, sales manager at Conn-Selmer (GEWA).
Together they think of themselves as the best team organising this event, they complement each other in every way possible.

Some facts 28 Nationalities visited the DBTO, over 250 basstrombone players visited the event.

The DBTO can host a maximum of 50 basstrombone players.

Nothing is for free, not even in the perfect basstrombone world. The basic cost for the DBTO are €335,-.
(two nights at the Akoesticum, double room, two times breakfast, two times lunch, Saturday night diner and entrance to all DBTO activities, unlimited coffee/thee/water)

The Venue of the DBTO is “Akoesticum” in Ede, it is in the middle of the Netherlands near the big city of Utrecht and also great to travel to with public transport (all travel info you will receive in the DBTO info booklet)

The DBTO starts on the Friday evening at 20.00h, check in can be earlier, the DBTO ends on Sunday afternoon arround 17.00h.

Basic accommodation is that you share a doudble room, with bathroom and toilet. (optional you can book a single room). — See Subscribe page
